Phoenix Contact is a leading developer and manufacturer of industrial electrical and electronic technology. Founded more than 80 years ago in Germany, our diverse product range includes components and system solutions for industrial and device connection, automation, electronic interface and surge protection.
 
Due to growth in our business we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our national team. Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for developing relationships with national customers, identifying sales opportunities and building sales volumes.
 
You will work closely with the current Business Development Managers, State Managers and Phoenix Contact Technical Sales representatives to ensure successful delivery of service. You will take a lead role in developing key accounts.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing new business and building relationships.
  • Managing and developing national client relationships.
  • Development and implementation of sales and new business strategy.
  • Preparation and coordination of account management plans, sales proposals, tender bids and contracts.
  • Working closely with the sales team to generation new business.
  • Identifying key decision makers and market Phoenix Contact products to them.
  • Developing your network to seek out opportunities in a wide variety of industries.
  • Facilitation of presentations and demonstrations.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • A background in Business Development or sales at a senior level.
  • Tertiary qualifications in an electrical discipline.
  • Industry experience is desirable.
  • Commercially astute with strong business acumen.
