Overview of AC and DC plug-in charging systems used worldwide
The matrix below provides an overview of the various AC and DC plug-in charging systems used worldwide. For greater clarity, the terms that have become established for the various forms of charging plugs and charging modes are defined as follows:
"Plug" = Charging plug (charging station side)
"Socket" = Charging socket in the charging station
"Connector" = Charging plug (vehicle side)
"Inlet" = Charging socket in the vehicle

Type 2 AC and DC plug-in system
An electrical locking bolt prevents withdrawal of the plug-in connector during the charging process or prior to completion of all necessary transactions - such as payment. This ensures high functional safety of your system.

GB standard AC and DC plug-in system
When charging with DC, an electrical locking bolt implemented in the charging plug prevents removal of the charging plug while under load (hot disconnection).

COMBO 2 plug-in system
The COMBO 2 charging plug is extremely easy to handle and is inserted into the inlet with very little force.
The integrated electronics automatically take care of functionality and safety. They automatically check whether the plug-in connector is correctly inserted in the inlet and which current may be used for charging. A locking bolt prevents withdrawal of the plug-in connector during the charging process or prior to completion of all necessary transactions - such as payment.
