Power Combicon plug connectors with integrated EMC shielding function
The Power Combicon PC 4 and PC 6 plug connectors are designed for the transmission of high currents to the PCB and now have an integrated EMC shielding function. To ensure high-quality shielding, it is essential to connect as much of the shielded cables as possible. Standard metal cable clamps ensure good contact between the braided shield of the wires and the new affixed shield connection. Specially manufactured screws in the connector flange guarantee that there is a high-quality shielding contact to the metal front of the housing.

If the front panel is made of non-conductive material, the shield function must be routed otherwise. For this purpose, the flange screws connect the shield function to PCB SHIELD, the new metal base. These bases have a connection for 6.3/2.8 x 0.8 mm standard flat connectors that can then be used to connect the conductor shielding to the nearest grounding point.
