Safety relay for speed monitoring
New 45 mm slim PSR modules comfortably monitor drives up to safety category 4/EN 954-1 and SIL 3 – without any extra device hardware. Critical motions are monitored in the following operating modes: downtime, setting up and automatic mode.
The devices have safe relay outputs to detect downtime and to monitor the maximum speed. Drive motions are either measured by the existing measuring system, such as an encoder, or by two proximity switches. The sensors are connected to the measuring systems using conventional RJ 45 cable adapters.
Parameters instead of programming
The modules are parameterized with user-friendly software. The speeds for automatic mode and a special mode can be set, as well as the frequency at downtime.
